Canyon Lake is a private, gated community located halfway between Lake Elsinore and Sun City, California. Canyon Lake is only one of five gated cities in California. The Lake was originally formed in 1927 after Railroad Canyon Dam was built. Canyon Lake has a Campground, Golf Course, Tennis Courts, and an Equestrian Center.
